When I do, go to a formal occasion, I always wanted to look my best (who doesn’t?). I plan that “it” dress, what accessories go with what color and motif, the hair style, trip to the salon, and the never-ending search for that perfect make-up. Not to mention the shoes and perfume. I know it’s crazy but once you looked great and enjoying your night away, the whole brouhaha will be forgotten.

Talk about evening wear, I’m still lusting over Vivid Flair’s dresses. They’re so elegant, sophisticated and the beading is very minimal. It’s breathtaking to look at these luscious gowns, glamorous but not overdone.

You can read about my previous post re Vivid Flair London’s 2012 S/S Collection right here during their exclusive fashion show in Armani Hotel in May.

I was excited about Vivid Flair’s Spring/Summer 2012 Collection launch when I received the invitation – an old fashioned film clapper and the dress code – Hollywood Glam! At the event, the proverbial red carpet was laid out – and the usual paparazzi were in attendance. The event details were no less than fab: taking inspiration from “Vintage Hollywood Theme”- no detail was too small- the tables were decked with white roses and feathers, vintage movie montages were projected onto walls, wait staff were in gowns and tuxes- and champagne hostesses were at hand.

The exclusive fashion show launch opened with an elegant acrobat act that reminds one of circuses in the streets of Paris. The fashion show focused on the S/S Collection of Vivid Flair – in sophisticated color palette of jewel tones, created in luxurious silks and satins that flow, oh so gracefully. The accents were minimal, either in laces or in beads-but accentuates the feminine form perfectly.
